Website Planning & Development
Bionic Power is a technology company that developed Powerwalk Kinetic Energy Harvester for military use in the US and Canada. Bionic Power was developing technology to help patients with cerebral palsy and spina bifida at young ages to retain or increase their independence and mobility and was launching a new sub-company to provide their new products in the medical field.

The ask was to develop a brand to successfully portray Bionic Power’s new technology and vision, including naming, logo design and brand guidelines, website, and stationary. The brand needed to be modern, forward-thinking, appropriate for the medical industry, and suitable for a corporate.
The name Agilik was developed by the Creative Director and was derived from motion, support, and stability. Its pronunciation was concise, bold, and strong. It perfectly represented the core values of Bionic Power’s new brand.

I took the qualities from the name and created a logo wordmark with a simple graphic element to work well in the corporate industry. A simple cross shape is integrated into the letter A to indicate association with the medical field. A bold and clean typeface was used with the strokes and kernings adjusted to create stability and balance. At the same time, the wordmark was italicized to represent the motion of moving forward. Light and dark blue colour combinations were used to indicate the technology and corporate aspects of the brand.

The simple and recognizable shape of the italicized cross and A was used as the website emoticon as well as the watermark and visual graphics on the website and stationery design.

This brand development project was well-received by the client and business investors, it was a great success!
